![]() ![]() ![]() This laptop will take up to 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-12800 SODIMM memory modules. It’s not necessary to disconnect the memory module from the motherboard for the purpose of my guide. In my Dell Inspiron N5110 I had only one memory module installed. Under the memory cover you’ll find two memory slots. Remove one screw securing the memory cover. STEP 13-18: Removing the palmrest assembly. STEP 5-12: Disconnecting and removing the keyboard. STEP 1-4: Accessing both memory slots and removing DVD drive. Here are some major disassembly steps I will go through: I will disassemble the base and remove the motherboard in order to access the DC jack board and hard drive.
